The author says that the internet has been formed by a group of applications and not one which make up world wide web. Thus it is not created by only one.
Explanation:
The article which is named "How the internet came to be" is written by Shelby Ostergard. In this article, Shelby talks about how the creation and the development of different applications led to the development of what is known as internet today.
Since a number of applications and not only one application forms up internet, therefore there is not one sinlge person who has created or owns the internet.
This isn't a full answer sorry! I last read the book in the 8th grade the human rights issue is how white people treated the black people in those days.
Crooks, the black man , is crippled and is forced to live in the stables with the horses while the other workers (the white workers) live in the bunks. This shows how lowly Crooks was treated, that he didn't have as great of rights as the white workers had.
I don't know if this has anything to do with the question, but the story was sent during the Great Depression of America.
Another human rights issue might be how Curley's wife is portrayed in the book (though it might also not be xD). She is portrayed as a flirty women that ways a lot of red which implies she is dangerous (how she got Lennie in trouble a lot). She is also portrayed as weak compared to the men. You could also refer to how Curley's wife spoke so rudely to Crooks while all the other men she swoons over.
Sorry that this wasn't a direct answer! But I hope it helps you!
