Explanation: According to the map the major growth of population in china has occurred in south of China of it's rich farmland. It is shown in the map that in some parts of southern China population has increased almost 1000% which indicates the population blast. Also in other parts of south it is shown that population increased at a higher percentage. China is a major producer of peanuts, some oilseed crops like as sesame seeeds, rapseed seeds, sunflower seeds which are vastly grown in southern China. Citrus is also a major cash crop in southern China.

So for rich farmland in southern China has worked as a key factor increasing the population.

why did president wilson's ideas for peace negotiations differ from those of french premier Clemenceau and british prmie ministe
alexgriva [62]
President Wilson believed that they shouldn't be too harsh on Germany & the Central Power, and believed in the 14 points (that he wrote)

However, Clemenceau and Lloyd George believed that they should put heavy reparations on Germany for being part of the losing side (even though they technically didn't start the war), to pay for all the damage costs, etc.

This led to Germany printing more money, and as their money decreased in value, it led them to the "Great Depression", which saw the arising of Adolf Hitler to power. From there, Hitler blamed the past government for not being able to fight on, and tried to build up a military force (which was forbidden under the Treaty of Versailles). However, France & Britain did not stop him, which led him taking over Europe in the next few years

1. What changes did
Andrew Mellon make
as Secretary of the
Treasury?
Aliun [14]

Answer:

During World War I, Mellon served on the boards of the American Red Cross and the National War Council of the YMCA.Mellon was appointed the nation's forty-ninth secretary of the treasury by President Harding on March 4, 1921, and was retained by Presidents Coolidge and Hoover, serving as treasury secretary until February 2, 1932. Mellon advocated conservative tax and spending policies for the purpose of reducing overall federal expenditures and outlays for service on the federal debt. His "Mellon Plan," proposed in 1924, called for limiting federal budget expenditures and using surpluses to reduce the debt, a program designed to lower tax rates. The Mellon Plan became the Revenue Act of 1924.

Hoover later named Mellon U.S. ambassador to Great Britain (1932), and Mellon served in that post for one year. Mellon returned to private business in 1933 and became one of the country's leading philanthropists. He died on August 27, 1937.
