The right answer is B) lipid

Name given to animal and vegetable fats, lipids or fats are molecules insoluble in water, but soluble in organic solvents. Living cells produce many of these compounds, most of which contain fatty acids or fatty acid derivatives.

Essential notions about their chemical structure

There are two families of lipids:

- Simple lipids composed only of carbon atoms, hydrogen and oxygen.

About 98% of edible lipids are triglycerides, products of the esterification of an alcohol, glycerol by fatty acids.

- Complex lipids:

Complex lipids are single lipids linked to sugar molecules, amino acids or radicals containing phosphorus or sulfur.

*Lipids also provide various other biological functions, including cell signaling (lipid signaling) and storage of metabolic energy by lipogenesis, energy released subsequently including β-oxidation.

What are glaciers? A glacier is a huge mass of ice that moves slowly over land.
tigry1 [53]

Answer:

What do they look like?

Glaciers look like solid blocks of ice.

What climate do they exist in?

Regions that have high snowfall in winter and cool temperatures in summer.

Where can you find them?

Most of the world's glacial ice is found in Antarctica and Greenland, but glaciers are found on nearly every continent, even Africa.

What do you think we can learn from glaciers?

Glaciers preserve bits of atmosphere from thousands of years ago in these tiny air bubbles, or, deeper within the core, trapped within the ice itself. This is one way scientists know that there have been several Ice Ages. Scientists are also finding that glaciers reveal clues about global warming.

(The last question is unclear to me, so I'm going to take a guess as to what you meant)

Why is sea ice so important?

Arctic sea ice keeps the polar regions cool and helps moderate global climate.

I hope this helps!! :3

Norepinephrine, serotonin, and dopamine are all examples of _______.A. bodily humors. B. synaptic clefts.
Hatshy [7]

The question is incomplete as it does not have the options which are:

A.bodily humors. B.synaptic clefts. C.neurotransmitters. D.growth hormones.

Answer:

The correct answer will be option- C

Explanation:

Neurotransmitters are the chemicals released from the neurons at the synaptic junctions which helps in the transmission of the electrical impulse from one neuron to another.

The dopamine, serotonin and nor-epinephrine are the biogenic forms of neurotransmitters which are synthesized from the precursors of the amino acids. These neurotransmitters are produced in producing different functions in the body.

Thus, option- C is the correct answer.

Where do our memories get stored and how are they retrieved again? How can learning be improved? What is the difference between
Margarita [4]

Answer:

Memories aren't just stored in one part of our brains. Different parts are stored in different brain regions, but the hippocampus is memories are formed and later accessed.

Learning can be improved by paying attention when learning something new so that you can take in the knowledge.

Explicit memories are conscious and can be verbally explained, however, implicit memories are usually nonconscious and are not verbally articulated.

Explanation: I'm sorry but I don't know the answer to your last question, so I hope you figure out the answer to that one...........also hope this at least helps you out somewhat:)

1. What type of succession takes place that increases the biological diversity of an ecosystem? For example, if we started with
professor190 [17]

There are two types of succession that lead to the increasment of the ecosystem:

1. Primary succession is the change in the structure of an ecosystem represented with the increase of the ecological community on an area that has not been previously occupied by an ecological community such as area after the lava flow or glacial lake. The first organisms of primary succession are pioneer plants usually, lichens and mosses.

2. Secondary succession includes the step of removal of pre-existing community and after that, colonization of the new one.
