Frank and Gertrude mow lawns for extra money over the summer. Frank's income is determined by f(x) = 5x + 15, where x is the num

ber of hours. Gertrude's income is g(x) = 4x + 20. If Frank and Gertrude were to combine their efforts, their income would be h(x) = f(x) + g(x). Assume Frank works 4 hours. Create the function h(x) and indicate if Frank will make more money working alone or by teaming with Gertrude.
h(x) = x + 5, work alone

h(x) = x + 5, team with Gertrude

h(x) = 9x + 35, work alone

h(x) = 9x + 35, team with Gertrude

➷ First identify and assign the variables:

q = number of quarters

d = number of dimes

This is what we know:

q + d = 22

A quarter is 25 cents and a dime is 10 cents

You can write this as:

0.25q + 0.1d = 3.40

Rearrange the first equation for d

d = 22 - q

Substitute this value into the other equation:

0.25q + 0.1(22 - q) = 3.40

Simplify:

0.25q + 2.2 - 0.1q = 3.40

0.15q + 2.2 = 3.4

Subtract 2.2 from both sides:

0.15q = 1.2

Divide both sides by 0.15:

q = 8

Substitute into the first equation:

8 + d = 22

d = 14

Therefore, there are 8 quarters and 14 dimes.

Answer: \left[\begin{array}{ccc}|x|0|1|2|3|4|5|6|\\|P(x)|0|4|8|12|16|20|24|\end{array}\right]

b. P(x)= 4x

c. The graph would go in a straight line touching each point given.

Step-by-step explanation: To find the perimeter of a square you can use the equation 4(x). If you multiply each x value by 4 you'll get the P(x) values.

The annual health insurance premium for Ms Everett is $12,304. her employer pays 70% of the premium and deducts the remainder fr
Gekata [30.6K]
Answer: See each one below:

1) Since she is paying for 30% of the cost, we multiply it by 0.3. Then, since it is over the whole year, we divide it by 12.

12304 * 0.3 / 12 = 307.6 B

2)  First, we subtract the cost of the 50 deductible, then multiply the amound by 0.2 because he has to pay 20% of the balance.
1060 - 50 = 1010 x 0.2 = 202 A

3)  First, we find the total cost of the visits. Mattie has to pay for 40% so times it by 0.4. Then, don't forget to add in the cost of 12 co-pays of $15 each.
3660 * 0.4 = 1464 + 15(12) = 1664 B
