Answer:

They enjoyed their time together is the correct answer.

Explanation:

Mr. Utterson and Mr. Enfield are both characters of Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde by R. L. Stevenson. The novel narrates the story of Dr Jekyll and his strange relationship with Mr Hyde.

The excerpt mentions that in spite of their own personalities (none of them really talked to the other one and they did not look like friends when they were together) they had a bond and, apparently, enjoyed time together.

Include two specific examples of Dravot and Carnehan embracing their fantasy of being kings
Step2247 [10]

Two specific examples of Dravot and Carnehan embracing their fantasy of being kings are:

- Dravot breaks a man's neck -this man was trying to rob other men- and then fires a gun at twenty more men. Because of this, the men think he is a great god and they make him their king, and so Dravot says that he would make fine nation out of them, or he would perish in the making. This properly shows him embracing his fantasy of being king.

- Carnehan conquers a different kingdom and tells Dravot that the abundance of his kingdom is more than he could ever handle. Subsequently, Dravot crowns himself and Carnehan too. Carnehan considers the crowning a proper miracle. This last sentence properly shows him embracing his fantasy of being king.

in what ways is "the black ball" a modernist story give examples from the story to support your answer
Vinvika [58]

Answer:

it is modern because

Explanation:

The blackness is represented in the story as something to be ashamed of in this story, by including things like his fear of the white man, the way his son interprets things around him, and his uncertainty in regards to the white man’s offer. The story really illustrates the prejudice that people of color must face in every facet of life.

the stars began to burn through the sheets of clouds, How does the poet use the word "burn" in these lines? connotatively, to su
Y_Kistochka [10]

It's not a denotation. If it were, the earth would be cinder long forgotten millions of years ago.

It really isn't to reveal the importance of watching the sky. The word burn is used poetically. If the poem wanted you to watch the skies, it would have said so either directly or indirectly using poetic language. Nowhere are you being asked to watch the skies.

There is nothing in theory about the burn and as a consequence there is nothing critical in the tone.

That only leaves A but it is not a very good answer.
