The spinal<span> canal (or </span>spinal cavity<span>) is the space in the vertebral column formed by the vertebrae through which the </span>spinal<span> cord passes. It is a process of the dorsal body </span>cavity<span>. This canal is enclosed within the vertebral foramen of the vertebrae.</span>
