I am pretty sure it is because a rational number is any number that can be written as a fraction. (a/b) where a and b are intergers. One of the examples I had was to identify if 0.27 is an rational number . And yes it is because .27 into a fraction is 27/100. Please reply back if I’m wrong.

NNADVOKAT [17]

Answer:

1/2

Step-by-step explanation:

To find out how much money Gerri spent, add up the two fractions.

(9/22) + (2/22) = (11/22)

(11/22) can then be simplified to (1/2).

y=√15 ( i am not sure)
q6, (5+y) ²=81
5+y=9
y=4
q7 (x+4) (x) =77
x²+4x-77=0
(x+11) (x-7) =0
x=-11(rej) or x=7
therefore ,length= 7+4=11cm

How is this solved. Ive tried different ways and cant get it
lukranit [14]
It's kinda like using variables, but shapes in their place. Let's set the circle to x, the triangle to y, and the square to z. Now the equations say x+(y+z)=13, (y+z)=8, and x+y=7. First thing we can do it plug 8 into the first equation for y+z, getting x+8=13. Subtract 8 to both sides and x (or circle) equals 5. Plug 5 into the last equation, x+y=7 to solve for y, getting 5+y=7. Subtract 5 to both sides and y (or triangle) equals 2. Finally, plug two in for y in y+z=8, getting 2+z=8. Subtract 2 from both sides and z (or square) equals 6. Hope I've explained it clearly!!

Question 22 of 25
Xelga [282]

Answer:

Option D

The value of y in the parallelogram is 34°

Step-by-step explanation:

Adjacent angles of the Parallelogram are supplementary

So,

(78° + 3y°) = 180°

78° + 3y° = 180°

Subtract 78° each side we get,

78° - 78° + 3y° = 180° - 78°

3y° = 102°

Now, Divide both side by 3 we get,

3y°/3 = 102°/3

y = 34°

Thus, The value of y in the parallelogram is 34°
