<span>The figure shown below is an example of ratio and proportion. A ratio is a comparison between two different things. A proportion is two ratios that have been set equal to each other. Note that in the figure shown below, the form and angle of quadilateral ABCD is similar to quadilateral EFGD. So if we have angle ABC, it is proportional to angle EFG or angle E. From the question, angle CGF is proportional to angle GDE or angle D.</span>

This is a sadly defective question.

It wants you to mark "Angle D", because Angle-D is
equal
to angle-CGF ... they're the same size.

But they are not "corresponding" angles.

Angle-CGF is an angle outside of the smaller figure.
The corresponding angle of the larger figure would be
the angle above and outside of corner-C, if the side DC
were extended a little bit to make an angle up there.

According to Boyle’s law, PV= K, what was the volume at the time of the first measurement given the following information? Round
Temka [501]
<h2>Hello!</h2>

The answer is:

The first measurement of volume is equal to 835.23 mL.

<h2>Why?</h2>

Boyle's Law equation can be used when the temperature is kept constant, and it establishes a relation between the pressure and volume, showing that when an ideal gas is kept constant, the pressure and volume are inversely proportional.

So, we Boyle's Law equation states that:

P_{1}V_{1}=P_{2}V_{2}

Where,

P_1=FirstPressure\\V_1=FirstVolume\\P_2=NewPressure\\V_2=NewVolume

Now, if we are looking for the first volume measurement, we need to rewrite the equation as follow:

P_{1}V_{1}=P_{2}V_{2}\\\\V_{1}=\frac{P_{2}V_{2}}{P_{1}}

So, substituting the given information and calculating, we have:

V_{1}=\frac{8.59atm*527mL}{5.42atm}

V_{1}=\frac{4526.93atm.mL}{5.42atm}=835.23mL

Hence, the first measurement of volume is equal 835.23 mL.

Have a nice day!

6x-y=-23 8x+3y=-9 Substition method (Show it step by step please!)
Tanya [424]

Answer:

solution is (- 3, 5 )

Step-by-step explanation:

given the 2 equations

6x - y = - 23 → (1)

8x + 3y = - 9 → (2)

rearrange (1) expressing y in terms of x

y = 6x + 23 → (3)

Substitute y = 6x + 23 into (2)

8x + 3(6x + 23 ) = - 9

8x + 18x + 69 = - 9

26x + 69 = - 9 ( subtract 69 from both sides )

26x = - 78 ( divide both sides by 26 )

x = - 3

substitute x = - 3 into (3)

y = (6 × - 3 ) + 23 = - 18 + 23 = 5

solution is (- 3, 5 )
