Romeo seems to put love above the importance of blood feuds and family honor, while Tybalt and Mercutio are willing to kill and die in the name of this blood feud.

Passage 1
Genrish500 [490]
The correct answer is A. The second passage does not imply any indication to save people, so it is not c.

The first passage is not only about turtles, so the answer is not b.

Neither passage is talking of public libraries or beaches, so it is certainly not d.
Therefore the only logical answer is a. One is talking about efforts being made to save a wildlife habitat, while the other speaks of a bustling city and its prospects.

Hope this helps!

Select TWO ways that Coolidge (source 2) transforms the source material (source 1).
Sedaia [141]

Answer:

  • A. She includes the explicit lesson learned from Arachne’s tale.
  • D. She displays Arachne’s arrogant and impertinent behavior.

Explanation:

When Coolidge told the story of Arachne, she made sure to include the arrogant and impertinent behavior that got Arachne to challenge the gods by saying she was better than Athena.

In the end Athena turned her into a spider and Coolidge makes sure to include the lesson learned from Athena's tale of arrogance being a punishable offence.
