The mental illness of environmental effect has a cause in the very environment prone to cause illness in a person. This person may have some physical readiness to get sick, but not necessarily.
Healthy people also get sick in prone environments, causing a lot of stress. A classic example for mental illness are prisons. However, work and even the family can be environments that generate mental illness.
