There have been some legal issues on religious displays in public ´laces during Christmas festivities. The problem is not a simple one as one may think for a Christmas display because some issues had ended up in the Supreme Court.

Examples of these cases are Lynch v. Donnelly, in 1984. Another one was Allegheny County v. ACLU. And the final one was Capitol Square Review Board v. Pinette in 1995. Most of those cases revolve around the use the Menorah, Christmas tree, and cribs.
