So he spent 1600 so x will represent original savings so
x-1600
then he spent 2/5 of the remainder on a refrigerator so
[(x-1600)2]/5
he had 1/3 of original savings left
[(x-1600)2]/5=1/3x
distrubute
(2x-3200)/5=1/3x
multiply both sides by 15
3(2x-3200)=5x
distrubute
6x-9600=5x
subtract 5x from both sides
x-9600=0
add 9600 to both sides
x=9600

Sabre uses the LIFO method of valuing inventory. On October 31, they sold 175 shredders. Find the cost of goods sold. Enter your
Tamiku [17]

Answer: The cost of goods sold= 5881.75

Step-by-step explanation:

Cost of available  goods = 75x32.97 + 75x33.78 + 150x35.02= $10259.25

Units available= 150 + 75 + 75= 300

Sold units= 175

Ending  inventory= 300-175=125

Value of ending inventory= 125x35.02= $4377.5

Cost of goods sold= cost of available goods – value of ending inventory

Cost of goods sold= 10259.25 – 4377.5= $5881.75
