Osmosis is the net movement of water molecules through a semi-permeable memberane from a region of higher water potential to a region of lower water potential.

so in the first case, since 10% of sucrose solution has a lower water potential than the pure water, so water molecules will flow into the sac, causing the sac to increase in volume. note that sucrose molecules can't diffuse out since there's a semi-permeable membrane.

in the question, I'm not 100% sure what the "sac solution" is meant by, but I guess it's the solution inside the sac

so here if the sac sucrose is 20%, the concentration of water is larger in difference than the first time, so osmosis rate will increase.

but if the "sac solution" is meant by replacing the water of the first case, then the sac inside would have a higher water potential, as the sucrose concentration is more diluted. then the water molecules will flow from the sac back to the beaker or whatever container it is.

Decomposers are neccesary in a food chain because they??
JulsSmile [24]
Decomposers are necessary to the food chain because they break down the results of the food chain into the basic elements that producers can then use to begin the process over again. Decomposers include groups of bacteria that help to speed up the decaying process of dead plants and animals.
Hope that helped! =)

Which of the following processes describes how missionary activities change the geographies of universalizing religions outside
olga nikolaevna [1]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

You forgot to include the options for this question. However, we can answer this.

The process that describes how missionary activities changed the geographies of universalizing religions outside of their founding hearths was Expansion Diffusion.

This is the process that happens when a major nation introduces and expands its culture, tradition, customs, or religious beliefs into other nations. It could be through conquering and colonizing as was the case of the Spanish crown which sent its religious congregations such as the Franciscans to evangelize the Native Indians into the Catholic religion.

This problem is based on the Greenhouse effect.

CO2 is one of the Greenhouse gases.

Gasoline and diesel cars gasoline burns fossil fuel and produce a lot of CO2 increasing the Greenhouse effect.

The sentences of the statement for the this case may be ordered to describe very well what happens with the fossil fuels and their effect in the planet.

This is the right order:

1) fossil fuels burned to run vehicles release co2

2) CO2 traps heat and warms the atmosphere.

3) The global surface temperature increases

4) ice and snow in polar regions melts.

5) large amounts of freshwater flow into the ocean

6) sea levels rise.

7) the island floods with seawater.

8) human life, buildings, and infrastructure are at risk.
