In an investigation, two or more variables are present in the correlations. When it comes to correlation, it refers to the effect that the variable can have on the other since a change in one can produce an alteration in the other.
There are different types of correlations between them are:
Correlation near zero: in this, it can be seen that the variable can increase, but there will be no change in the other either for decrease or for an increase if not that it will be maintained.
Positive correlation: unlike the correlation negative and near- zero when in there is an increase in the variable, the other tends to increase.
Negative correlation: and finally, the negative correlation is presented in which, unlike the positive correlation when it presents an increase in one of its variables, the other decreases.
Therefore, in the previous case, we can observe that the number of hours the students use to study is not related to his or her qualifications. The researcher obtained a correlation near zero because the variable does not change even if there is a change in the other.
