You and your best friend Sam are shopping together at the mall. She asks you to follow her into the changing room. She closes th

e door and says, “You remember that shirt I wore to the game last Friday? Here’s how I got it. She pulls the tags off a new shirt, puts it on, and puts her own shirt on over it. “It’s so easy. I’ve done it a million times,” she tells you. “They never even keep track of what you take into the dressing room. And my friend Michelle used to work here, so I know they don’t have sensors at the door. Oh, and Michelle said they have so much merchandise left over each season they have to box it up and send it to the outlet mall, where they basically give it away for free anyway. That shirt looks so great on you! You should just do it. Nobody’s going to care.”
1. How would you phrase your response to Sam to send a clear message that you believe shoplifting is wrong, and you’re not going to do it? Write a one-sentence response.
2. What are three other ways you can reinforce your message when you’re saying no?
3. Write a one-sentence explanation of the consequences of shoplifting to Sam, using the following questions as a guide:
A. How will my choice affect me both now and in the future?
B. How will my choice affect others?
C. Does my choice contribute to a healthy lifestyle?

Answer:

I would tell her straight up kinda sugar coat it though because shes my friend.

Explanation:

I would tell her she needs to stop. If you wanna have the stuff at least ask don't just steal it. They could be still selling those things and making money off of them. If you just steal stuff you could mess many things up, plus thats how they make money. Stealing is not good, and shouldnt be done.

Reading the passage first, we will know determine the questions in order to break everything down.

These questions we will consider, which are the following:

Starting with the first question.

1. How would you phrase your response to Sam to send a clear message that you believe shoplifting is wrong, and you’re not going to do it? Write a one-sentence response.

You can say... e.g "Sam, whether people don't care about what you're doing, shoplifting is wrong because it's taking something that's not yours, would you like if I stole something from you and you didn't know?" That would be an example of what you could say to Sam, the one shoplifting.

2. What are three other ways you can reinforce your message when you’re saying no?

You can say... e.g 1.) "I don't want to disappoint my parents". You can also say ...2.) "We could get in big trouble for shoplifting, we could also go to Jail or other serious consequences.". And also ... 3.) "We can really ruin our reputation, so, I'm not going to make this move Sam.".

3. Write a one-sentence explanation of the consequences of shoplifting to Sam, using the following questions as a guide: (Answers will be under questions below, as this is what the question is asking.)

A. How will my choice affect me both now and in the future? I could get into a Jail camp now, and perhaps, this case could stay on my record for any future jobs I have in mind.

B. How will my choice affect others? This would make others feel and see different about me, and perhaps, they may not allow me within their home, thinking I may steal another item from them their-self.

C. Does my choice contribute to a healthy lifestyle? No. It does not. It shows that you would care less to work, and you'd rather steal your way out of life. Which, in this case, this is not a healthy life style.

I hope this helps!

NemiM [27]

Answer:

In Pavlov's experiment the conditioned stimulus is a previously neutral stimulus (like the bell), that eventually elicits a conditioned response (drooling) after being repeatedly paired with the unconditioned stimulus (food).

Explanation:

The conditioned stimulus studied by Pavlov is any internal or external stimulus that initially causes no reaction in an organism, ie the conditioned stimulus was initially a neutral stimulus. However, through a classic conditioning process, you can create a response to this stimulus. The conditioned stimulus is the counterpart of the unconditioned stimulus.

The study of how both elements are related is the basis of conditioning and behavioral psychology. It was first studied by scientist Ivan Pavlov in his famous experiment in which he was able to salivate dogs by ringing a bell.
