Explanation:

Living organisms in the biosphere release carbon dioxide into the atmosphere during cellular respiration. This carbon dioxide in the atmosphere dissolves into the hydrosphere mainly oceans and lakes at the interphase between the atmosphere and hydrosphere. The dissolved carbon dioxide can be utilized again by photosynthetic planktons through photosynthesis. The plankton from the base of a large food web in the marine environment creating large biomasses. When these organisms die, they sink to the bottom of the oceans or lakes taking carbon to the bottom of the oceans. The biomass accumulates with sediments and over many years becomes part of the geosphere as sedimentary rocks.

The rocks may become exposed to the earth’s surface over millions years by tectonic plants. The exposed rocks will become vulnerable to agents of erosion that will unlock the carbon-based minerals in the rocks so they become available to plants and other organisms in the biosphere..and the cycle continues.

Rachel wants to test how sunlight impacts plant growth over time she will add billing amount of light to different sets of plans
ahrayia [7]

Answer: sunlight.

Explanation: When trying to establish the level or extent of correlation or relationship which exists between two variables, the variables are classed as independent and dependent variables. The independent variable is referred to as the variable which causes a change in the value of the other variable (dependent variable). It is also known as the explanatory or predictor variable as it lead to changes in the dependent or predicted variable. In the scenario above, the independent variable is sunlight whose impact leads to changes in the growth level of the plant.

what does the term 2pq represent in the hardy-weinberg equation? the frequency of homozygous recessive individuals the frequency
Nostrana [21]

The term 2pq represented in the hardy-weinberg equation is the frequency of heterozygotes and is denoted as option D.

What is Hardy-weinberg equation?

This mathematical equation is used to calculate the genetic variation of a population at equilibrium and can be seen below:

p² + 2pq + q² = 1

where

p² is dominant homozygous frequency (AA)

2pq is heterozygous frequency (Aa)

q² is recessive homozygous frequency (aa).

The 2pq can be seen as the heterozygous frequency which is therefore the reason why option D which is frequency of heterozygotes was chosen as the most appropriate choice.

Mutations are important for evolution because they
Vikki [24]
Mutation causes change in an organisms DNA, resulting in a change in all aspects of the organisms life. It affects how the organism looks, and how it behaves. If there was no mutation, an organism could not change, therefore there wouldn't be evolution at all.
