Explain how the Constitution and its European influences support the modern concept of American Citizenship
vivado [14]

Citizen's rights and responsibilities stem from the constitution as they were given to us by our creator according to the constitution. The European ideology claimed that all people are equal (in terms of caste, religion and status) and developed from the enlightenment era.

The citizenship can be obtained by anyone as long as they live in the country long and pay taxes and behave like anyone else would behave. The political thinkers such as John Locke came up with the same idea and thinking which heavily influenced the US constitution.

The beginning of the Constitution which explains its<br> purposes, starts as, "We the people...."
gayaneshka [121]

The Constitution's first three words are its most potent: we the people . They assert that the people themselves, not a king or a Congress, are the source of the Constitution's authority.

The Constitution as a whole is built on the idea of popular sovereignty, or "power to the people."

Who is meant by "we" in the Constitution's opening sentence?

"We the people of the United States created this constitution."

The first three words, though, make a crucial point. They contend that the people alone possess the authority to establish and sustain government, not a monarch or even legislators.

Americans frequently use "we the people" to demonstrate that their country is a democracy.
