Assuming that they are pulling the space shuttle straight up, and that this is done on the surface of the earth, where gravity is equal to 9.8 m/s^2. So taking the average pull force of a person to be 110 kg, then:

110 kg/person * 9.8 m/s^2 = 1078 kg*m/s^2, or 1078 N/person (Newtons).

1 Newton is about 0.225 lb. So, 1078 N/person * 0.225 lb/N = 242.34 lb/person.

So if the space shuttle weighs 4,500,000 lb, then it would take 4,500,000 lb / (242.34 lb/person) = 18,569 people.

Answer:

18,569 people

What do we know about the relative strength of the electric field around each object?
Vsevolod [243]

Answer:

A charged object in an electric field experiences a force due to the field. The electric field strength, E, at a point in the field is defined as the force per unit charge on a positive test charge placed at that point.

Which determines the pitch of a sound? A. At the same wavelength, the sound with the most cycles per second will have the highes
kipiarov [429]
This would be known to be determined by its sound wave which would be the amplitude. The pitch of sound would actually be a little differenr in this matter. But know that we know and understand the sound wave of the pitch of sound, we know that this is done by amplitude.

A package is dropped from a helicopter moving upward at 15m/s. If the helicopter was 1000m above the ground when the package was
sveticcg [70]

Answer:

yi = Initial height of the helicopter

yf = final height of the helicopter

vyi = component of the initial vertical velocity of the helicopter

g = gravity constant (9.8m/s^2)

yf = yi + vyideltat - 1/2gt^2

0m = 1000m + (15m/2)deltat - 1/2(9.8m/s^2)t^2

-1000m = (15m/s)t - (-4.9m/s^2)t^2

Use the quadratic formula

4.8t^2 - 15t - 1000 = 0

t1 = 15.75s and t2 = -12.65

t2 is rejected, time can't be negative

Thus, it takes 15.75s before the package strikes the ground.

A large group of people get together. each one rolls a die 180 times, and counts the number of 1's. about what percentage of the
Arte-miy333 [17]
Around 99% - 100%. This is because a die is six sided, which gives the odds of a one coming up being roughly 17% independent of every roll. 17% of 180 trials comes out to 30-31 times a one will show up every 180 trials. This puts you right in the middle of the 15-45 range which means that somebody will almost ALWAYS reach 15-45 one's in a trial of 180 rolls.

What color is blood that is HIGH in oxygen?
lys-0071 [83]

As blood leaves the heart and is oxygen-rich, it is bright red. When the blood returns to the heart, it has less oxygen. It is still red but will be darker. This darker red appears blue because of how light travels through the skin.

Hope This Helps!
