When people see certain things they usually have some kind of emotion associated with it, like rain meaning sadness, sunshine meaning happiness, and so on and so forth. In this case when it is raining and someone sees a rainbow they seem to remember that jack lives on rainbow avenue because of the rainbow. They are able to associate the rainbow with jack which lives on memory lane:)

Answer:

By recalling when you and Joe got stuck in the rain and saw a rainbow

blagie [28]
The purpose of sending troops to Vietnam was to prevent Vietnam from becoming a communist state- much like the neighbouring China did. The US feared the domino effect in which more and more neighbouring states become communist.

This policy was called the containment policy (the answer is B) - communism were to be contained.

What impact does gerrymandering have on a democracy?
olga55 [171]

Answer:

Two principal tactics are used in gerrymandering: "cracking" (i.e. diluting the voting power of the opposing party's supporters across many districts) and "packing" (concentrating the opposing party's voting power in one district to reduce their voting power in other districts).  Gerrymandering means to draw congressional districts to the advantage of the political party that controls the State's legislature. This is a tactic that does not give equal representation to minority groups in the Congress.

Joseph thinks he does worse on tests when the weather is bad. In reality, his test
neonofarm [45]

This question is an example of the fallacy of correlation and causation.

The fallacy exists due to the fact that human beings like to find cause and effects towards the things that to not exist.

So they have to fabricate patterns that would end up making two different variables and situations to be closely similar.

A question of fact would be:
lidiya [134]

Answer:

  A) does overeating cause obesity?

Explanation:

Terms in all of these questions often have fuzzy definitions, so it is often a matter of judgment whether a particular condition is or is not included in the discussion.

The question most likely to be considered a question of fact is ...

  A) does overeating cause obesity?

__

"Overeating" and "obesity" can be objectively defined, even if the causal relationship is less easy to establish.

"Beautiful" is usually a matter of opinion, and cannot be considered a matter of fact.

"Equal opportunities" is exceptionally difficult to define considering the range of personalities and abilities that may be offered a given opportunity. This is another term that is more a matter of opinion than of fact. Whether something "should" or "should not" be provided is, likewise, a matter of opinion (or personal philosophy or religion).

"Bad habit" is another descriptor that is difficult to say is a matter of fact. Whether something is "good" or "bad" depends on the goal, and the effect of procrastination depends on the circumstances.
