Since we see that the ratio of the triangle is 6 on one side for every 5 on the other side, we just apply ratios.

We see that in one side it's 48, so if we just do 48 * 5/6, we get 40.

Then we subtract between 7, so we get 33.

Then we divide between 3, like this: 33/3, which gives us 11.

So the answer is: x is equal to 11.

Hope this helped! c:

Jenny swam more laps.

Step-by-step explanation:

Lets take this step by step. If Edith swam fewer laps than Shira but more than Gemma, then G < E < S. If Jenny swam more than Shira, then that means Gemma swam the fewest, then Edith, then Shira, and finally Jenny who swam the most laps.

P(defective) = 3/12 = 1/4
P(good) = 1 - 1/4 = 3/4
P(2\ good)=4C2\times0.75^{2}\times0.25^{2}=0.211
P(3\ good)=4C3\times0.75^{3}\times0.25=0.422
P(4\ good)=0.75^{4}=0.316
The probability that at least 2 units are good is given by:
P(2 good) + P(3 good) + P(4 good) = 0.211 + 0.422 + 0.316 = 0.949.
