What is the scale factor of the dilation

Mathematics
1 answer:

As it can be seen in the figure above, the figure A'B'C' is bigger than ABC due to dilation.

If we are to measure the side AB, that would be 3. Also, we have A'B' measured to be 6 units.

The dilation factor is calculated by dividing the lengths of the corresponding sides. In this example that would be,

    d = A'B' / AB = 6 / 3 = 2

How can you quickly calculate 20 percent of any bill amount?
Tems11 [23]
First, convert the percent into a decimal. To do this, simply more the % sign two places to the left and make it into a decimal point.

20% = 0.20

Then we will let x be our bill amount.

Then multiply 0.20 and x together to get your answer.

So, 0.20 * x is your answer.

Describe the transformation using the values for slope (m) and the y-intercept b. Compare the graph to the parent y = x.
ra1l [238]

Answer:

See attached

Step-by-step explanation:

y = mx + b - slope-intercept form

m- is the slope, the greater the slope the steeper the line, it gets flatter when is getting closer to zero

b- y-intercept, if be is positive it indicates vertical shift up, when negative- vertical shift down

Franco is at the state fair with some friends. He is deciding between buying a jumbo pack of 50 ride tickets for $45 or a medium
jasenka [17]

Answer:

The jumbo pack is a better deal

Step-by-step explanation:

The better deal of two is the one that offers a lower cost per ride. Considering the two deals, the cost per unit ride for;

a jumbo pack of 50 ride tickets for $45 = $45/50

= $0.90 per ride

a medium pack of 30 ride tickets for $28.50

= $28.50/30

= $0.95

From the computations above, the medium pack (at $0.95) is more costly than the jumbo pack (at $0.90). Hence the jumbo pack is a better deal for Franco.
