Using the nonexperimental method, a researcher collects data on exercise and anxiety from a number of people and finds that exer

cise is negatively related to anxiety—that is, the people who exercise more tend to have lower levels of anxiety. What does this scenario demonstrate?

Answer:

Co-variation between variables

Explanation:

Based on the scenario being described within the question it can be said that this scenario demonstrates the Co-variation between variables. This refers to the measure of how much two seemingly random variables vary together as opposed to separately which would otherwise be variance. Which explains why when one variable changes in value the other changes in an un-correlated way.

Answer:

Co-variation between variables.

Explanation:

Co-variance refers to measurement of the relationship between two random variables. That is how the two variables change proportionately, or varies with one another. However, it does not explain how the two variable depends on one another.

Thus when the two variables moves in the same direction with one another, it is called positive co variance. However, when they move in inverse proportion to one another, they are negative co-variance.(as represented in the question).

Thus it shows how exercise and anxiety varies with one other, but it does not show how they depend on one another.

sasho [114]

Mendel was able to attribute the variation observed in the offspring of his experiment to the controlled fertilization process.

Mendel was able to control pollination and, thus, the fertilization process in the pea plants used for his experiment.

Mendel was able to effectively predict the outcome with self-pollination or cross-pollination with different results coming from each. Thus, he logically concluded that the variation observed in the offspring of his crosses is due to the fact that he controlled the fertilization process.

Answer:

Meiosis is a process in which sex cells, also known as gametes are made. Meiosis is different from mitosis in a lot of ways, one being that mitosis creates identical daughter cells and meiosis creates unique daughter cells. Meiosis is important because it allow for the creation of a meiosis nucleus. Cells produced by meiosis will be used in haploid, where each member of the next generation is genetically unique.

Cells produced in sexual reproduction will have half of the genetic information of body cells and will be genetically unique. This is necessary because when a sperm and an egg fuse together in sexual reproduction. They form a zygote: the first body of a new individual.

The new individual will now have cells that are diploid, meaning they have two sets of chromosomes. They zygote will have to do a lot of mitosis allowing it to grow quickly and ensure that all of its cells are genetically unique.

Which event does not take place during interphase?
Dafna1 [17]
The correct answer is "crossing over."

Cellular growth takes place under interphase, specifically under G1 phase of interphase wherein there is increase in cell proteins and structure. Duplication of chromosomes (or DNA synthesis) takes place under interphase, specifically under the S phase of interphase. In the S phase, there is also duplication of organelles. Crossing over takes place under prophase I of meiosis.
