Answer: popes: it was them who constitued legacy of Jesus Christ in the West and claimed for themselves a positon of God´s ministers. Emperors: popes and church should follow Jesus Christ´s example and the ecclesiastical doctrine. They (popes) should not be dominated by temporal/profane power and material goods.

Explanation: Political ambitions of the church were provable but also logical because who disposed human capital necessary for building effective society was a church (at least during early middle ages). Disputes between popes and emperors became increasingly frequent in the 14th century. But there are also many examples of their collaboration.

Do you think the American Revolution would have happened if there had not been an Age of Enlightenment?
Leto [7]
Yes, I do think so.

The reason for this is that I think it would be likely that people born and raised in America would feel that Great Britain, which was far away and did not understand Americans' needs and situations, should not rule over them. So I feel that a similar struggle for independence would have happened anyway.

How was the truman doctrine a departure from previous american foreign policy?
Butoxors [25]
Previous American policy had centred around Isolationism. They did not want to get involved in foreign affairs and believed they didn’t need to. With the Truman doctrine, they wanted to contain the spread of communism, so they were prepared to fight wars and become involved on global politics to prevent such from happening.

In 1932 which group marched on Washington demanding a promised payment
aleksley [76]

Answer:

Bonus Army

Explanation:

It was during the Great Depresssions and the WWI veterans were promised a sum of money for fighting in the war. In the depression, money was needed by quite a few people so the bonus army began a march on washington to get the money for fighting in the war, that they deserved. Eventually, the march was unsuccessful and when the veterans returned to their camp, a while later, General MacArthur (I think) came and obliterated the camp.
