The economic or cultural condition that existed following modernity is known as Post-modernity. According to some schools of thoughts, modernity came to an end in the later phase of the 20th century and then began a period of post-modernity. On the other hand, others would stretch modernity to include the expansions indicated by post-modernity, while some others believe that modernity came to an end after the Second World War.
The notion of the post-modern contingency is sometimes described as a culture torn of its capability to operate in an autonomous state such as regressive noninterference, in contrast to the progressive mind-state of modernism.
