State the Domain and range of the relation

Mathematics

The domain will be how far your graph/function/relation reaches across the x axis. Then the range is how far it stretches up and down the y axis.
So for this relation your domain is x is everything greater than -4 and less than or equal to 5.
And the range is y is everything greater than or equal to -2 and less than 5.
I'm gonna attach a picture as well with the specific notation that we were taught to write with. If your unfamiliar is might be new and confusing but it's actually very simple.
Also I would like to point out that I was specifying greater/less than AND if it was equal to or not. Because from what I know, if there are open or shaded in dots on the graph,
white dots do not mean equal to, so that number it's on will not be included. Only if the dot is shaded then it is included.
Hope I helped! :)

Write a linear function f with the values f(−1)=8 and f(5)=6.<br><br> A function is f(x)=
german

9514 1404 393

Answer:

  f(x) = -1/3x +23/3

Step-by-step explanation:

You can use the linear regression function of a graphing calculator or spreadsheet to show you the equation of the line through these points:

  f(x) = -1/3x +23/3

__

Approaching this in the usual way, we recognize we have points ...

  (-1, 8) and (5, 6)

The slope of the line through those points is ...

  m = (y2 -y1)/(x2 -x1)

  m = (6 -8)/(5 -(-1)) = -2/6 = -1/3

Then the point-slope equation of the line is ...

  y - 8 = -1/3(x +1)

Adding 8 gives us a form we can use for a function definition:

  f(x) = -1/3(x +1) +8

  f(x) = -1/3x +7 2/3

What is the value of z?
Reil [10]

Answer:

The angle z is 130 degrees.

Step-by-step explanation:

A straight line is 180 degrees.

Now think about how that line looks, you cut 50 degrees off of the whole 180.

So the equation is 180-50=z

z=130

I hope I have been of assistance to you, have a good day.

Egal loggers got away with 4 acres of trees at a reserve in central Mexico. That number represents a 97 percent decline from two
geniusboy [140]

Answer: with 133.33 acres of trees

Step-by-step explanation:

4 acres of trees, is a 97% decrease of the previous amount.

This means that if the previous amount was X, then 4 acres is 3% (or 0.03 in decimal form) of X, or:

4 acres = 0.03*X

Now we can solve this for X as:

X = 4acres/0.03 = 133.33 acres

The illegal loggers got away with 133.33 acres of trees
