The huge industrial trusts developed in industries such as steel and oil because there was a lot of competition to make the most profit and to be the best factory. Oil was a huge cooperation because it fueled the trains. Smaller bothersome rival companies would join bigger ones to create a monopoly. Standard oil owned by Rockefeller was a vast power and the word trust came to be generally used to describe any large scale business combination. Steel became a large industry for the fact that it was a strong metal that built the trains and tall sky scrappers. Also steel was used to build the transcontinental rail roads The Bessemer process came about which was a method of making cheap steel. It made the economy a more cut throat environment of dog eat dog and became ruthless. The economy was about power and money and was very greedy. Immigrant workers were employed with very low wages and worked laboriously many hours a day. Their effect on the economy was to create large monopolies, their effects were tremendous.

What size hammer makes a good jig for finding the height of an outlet box?
V125BC [204]

The apt size of a hammer that can be used a s a jigsaw would be

16oz.

Explanation:

To see the size of hammer that would be necessary we must understand the size of the outlet box and how it would require the jig to be.

The average height of an outlet box is usually 12 inches from the floor and it is then attached to a secondary box above it which is 16 inches

So, to lift this piece by the jig we can see that the standard sized hammer of 16 ounces would be apt and would do the job completely well.

So this is the one that must be used.

Assume that Maia spends all of her income on halvah (H) and pomegranates (P) and is purchasing the optimal consumption bundle. I
mamaluj [8]

Answer:

The correct answer is:

$4 (D.)

Explanation:

From the question, we are told that:

the price of halvah (MUH)= $12

the price of pomegranates (MUP)= ????

Next, we are also told that the optimal consumption ratio of MUH to MUP = 3

This means that the Mauginal Utility of halvah (H) to the marginal utility of pomegranates (P) = 3

MUH/MUP = 3

12/MUP = 3

MUP = \frac{12}{3} = 4

MUP = $4
