we are given

\sum _{i=1}^8\:2^{i-1}

we can expand it

\sum _{i=1}^8\:2^{i-1}=2^{1-1}+2^{2-1}+2^{3-1}+2^{4-1}+2^{5-1}+2^{6-1}+2^{7-1}+2^{8-1}

\sum _{i=1}^8\:2^{i-1}=2^{0}+2^{1}+2^{2}+2^{3}+2^{4}+2^{5}+2^{6}+2^{7}

we can simplify it

and we get

\sum _{i=1}^8\:2^{i-1}=255............Answer

Lexon is standing 7.05 meters away from the statue off the Merlin mp at Merlin park Singapore the height of her eyes from her fe
d1i1m1o1n [39]

Answer:

7.9m

Step-by-step explanation:

We solve using the Trigonometric function of Tangent

tan θ = Opposite/Adjacent

Opposite = x

Adjacent = 7.05m

We solve for x

tan 42 = x /7.05m

Cross Multiply

tan 42 × 7.05 = x

x = 6.3478485123m

Approximately = 6.35m

Height of the statue = x + 1.55

Hence, = 6.35m + 1.55m

= 7.9m

The height of the statue = 7.9 meters

In a group of 92 students 40 have brown eyes, 35 have hazel eyes, and 17 have blue eyes. Find the probability that a student pic
Oliga [24]

Answer:

as a fraction = 75/92

as a percentage = 81.52%

Step-by-step explanation:

total no of students = 92

probability that a student has hazel or brown eyes = Pr(hazel or brown)

but probability of a or b happening ie Pr(a or b) simply is Pr (a) +Pr (b)

therefore Pr(hazel or brown) = Pr(hazel)+ Pr(brown)

Pr(brown) = (no of brown eyes )/(total set of eyes)

                = 40/92 = 10/23

Pr( hazel) = (no of hazel eyes )/(total set of eyes)

                  = 35/92 =35/92

hence Pr(hazel or brown) = (10/23) + (35/92) =75/92

so there's 75/92 probability (or 0.8 out of 1 chance )to choose either hazel or brown randomly

Determine whether each table represents a linear quadratic or exponential function
Kryger [21]

Answer:

Table A: exponencial function

Table B: quadratic function

Table C: linear function

Step-by-step explanation:

Table A:

for x from 1 to 2, Y increased by 6

for x from 2 to 3, Y increased by 18

for x from 3 to 4, Y increased by 54

So we can see that the values of Y are being multiplied by 3 for each increment of x, so this table represents an exponencial function.

Table B:

for x from 1 to 2, Y increased by 6

for x from 2 to 3, Y increased by 10

for x from 3 to 4, Y increased by 14

The increment of Y is higher than a linear increment and smaller than an exponencial increment, so this is the quadratic function.

Table C:

for x from 3 to 6, Y increased by -2

for x from 6 to 9, Y increased by -2

for x from 9 to 12, Y increased by -2

The increment of Y is constant for the same increment of X, so this is a linear function.

The answer is C.
there are 3 number that are equal or greater than 4 which are:4 ,5 and 6.
3/6 = 1/2

it is theoretical because you didn't do it experimentally.

Find three solutions for this linear function and choose the correct graph by clicking on it. F -1(x) if F(x) = x + 3
algol13

Answer:

[1,2], [2,1], [3,0]

Step-by-step explanation:

To find F-1(x) if F(x)=x+3 we just need to put -x instead of x.

From our graph(attached) we multiply any three solutions by a -1:

F-1(x)\\\\#For \ x=1\\F-1(1)=-1+3=2\\\\#For \ x=2\\F-1(2)=-2+3=1\\\\#For \ x=3\\F-1(3)=-3+3=0

Hence, the 3 solutions are [1,2],[2,1],[3,0]
