B. Doing research and
organizing your ideas

Doing research and
organizing your ideas are the two skills needed to be acquired to be able to
transform a vague idea in one’s mind into a coherent piece of writing. These
skills doesn’t only make one’s paper into a coherent but also a comprehensible
and reader-friendly piece. These skills are vital in relaying information and
doing especially writing that involves critical thinking and technical
precision. For example writing a report paper, a letter, or a thesis.
This is Direct Proportion. If, for instance, the number of teachers in a school increased by one for every 30 students, the two (number of students and number of teachers) would exist in a directly proportional relationship.
In "We Wear the Mask," people suffer because life is painful and people hide their pain from the world. Dunbar writes the "clay is vile" beneath their feet, implying life on earth is hard and difficult. They do not change their situations because they cannot -- it is implied that to live is to suffer. In the poem these people appeal to Christ to save them.
In "Sympathy," the bird suffers because it is caged. It sees the beauty of the world around it but it cannot participate in it. The bird cannot change its situation because it is literally imprisoned. The caged bird appeals in its pain to Heaven, hoping God will relive its suffering.
In question 1, I believe the answer would be (a.), with a determined spirit. In the end of both poems they both think more positive and try to get better.
In question 2, I think it would be (c.), "winced," "cried aloud," "bloody, but not unbowed". This contributes to physical imagery because you can picture the character in this story the best with this line. I also think that this would be the best for imagery overall.
As for question 3, I am not quite sure. I am positive these are correct, but i'm not 100% sure. Good luck!
