The U.S. Supreme Court declared that segregation was unconstitutional in the Brown v. Board of Education decision in 1954. The G

eorgia legislature, like those of most Southern states, strongly opposed this federal ruling and created laws that kept schools from desegregating. How did this most impact local school districts? They were reorganized under the new federal ruling. They would gain federal money if they chose to desegregate. They would lose funding if they chose to desegregate. They were given more legal power under the federal ruling.

What should you do if your conscience tells you to do something that goes against God’s will
Nina [5.8K]

Answer: I have a strong Christian base and every time these kinds of thoughts come I remember some verse of the word that tells me about how I should act.

Explanation:

It is normal for our conscience to tell us that we have to do some things that are not right in the eyes of God, but as a person who knows the word of God, the moment these thoughts come it is important to counter them.

When I feel that my conscience tells me to do something wrong, I think about how this can affect me as a Christian and how God would see these actions. When I am not very confident, I look for a verse that can tell me about the situation I am going through, which helps me clear my mind and thus avoid doing something that goes against the will of God.

Similarities

There are many similarities between Black Death and Great Plague since both are outbreaks of bubonic plague. In the middle ages, no one knew how this disease was caused, transmitted, prevented or cured. Both Black Death and Great Plague resulted in a drastic reduction in the population of Europe.

Differences

Black Death and Great Plague are two names of pandemics that affected Europe. Black death is a devastating global pandemic that affected Eurasia and North Africa in the mid-1300s. Great Plague (1665 to 1666) was the last major outbreak of the bubonic plague in England.

Which statement best completes the timeline?
LiRa [457]

Answer:

The correct answer is C. The Ottoman Empire takes over Greek territory.

Explanation:

Ottoman control of Greece lasted from around 1453 to the end of the Greek War of Independence in 1832.  The sultan divided Greece into seven military districts and sent Turkish peasants there in order to have a reserve army on hand. Some villages were owned by Turkish landowners; there were all Turkish and all Greek villages. Although there was no longer a Greek state since 1453, the Greeks were by no means an insignificant minority within the Ottoman Empire. Trade and seafaring were almost exclusively Greek professions. Despite that, Greece's economic development was harmed during this period.
