You develop an app to help students complete their homework. To earn money, you sell advertising space on the app’s main screen.

An advertiser pays you $25 per month and an additional $0.003 each time the app is opened. Graph the linear equation that represents your monthly income y (in dollars) when the app is opened x times. (Just tell me the coordinates since there is no graph)

Answer:

Let y be the monthly income and x be the number of times the app is opened.

Then the required linear equation will be

y=25+0.003x

To find the coordinates, substitute x=0 in the equation, we get

y=25+0=25

The first coordinate of above linear equation is (0,25).

Substitute x=100 in the equation, we get

y=25+0.003(100)\\\Rightarrow\ y=25+0.3=25.3

The second coordinate of above equation is (100,25.3).

(we can substitute x as per our choice )

With the use of these coordinates (0,25) and (100,25.3), we plot the below graph.

When an article is sold for Rs 23, there is profit.
Svet_ta [14]

Answer:

Cost price = R.S 20

Sales price = R.S 22

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Sales price of an article = R.S 23

Profit = 15%

Find:

Cost price

Sales price if profit is 10%

Computation:

Profit% = [(Sales price - Cost price) / Cost price]100

15 = [(23-cp)/cp]100

15cp = 2,300 - 100cp

115cp = 2,300

Cost price = R.S 20

Sales price if profit is 10%

Sales price = Cost price + Profit

Sales price = 20 + 10%[20]

Sales price = 20 + 2

Sales price = R.S 22
