A certain number of cubic yards of concrete will be poured to form a driveway. The concrete will fill a space that is a right re

ctangular prism that is 18 feet wide, 42 feet long, and 6 inches thick. What are the dimensions of this space (width by length by thickness) in yards? (Note: 1 foot = 12 inches and 1 yard = 3 feet) A) 6 yards by 14 yards by yard B) 6 yards by 14 yards by yard C) 54 yards by 126 yards by 72 yards D) 54 yards by 126 yards by 216 yards

Answer: 6 yards by 14 yards by 0.5 yard

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that the concrete will fill a space that is a right rectangular prism that is 18 feet wide, 42 feet long

The cubic feet of the space =

242 × 18 × 6/12= 378 cubic ft

Given that 1 foot = 12 inches and 1 yard = 3 feet

6 yards by 14 yards by yard will give

( 6×3 )×(14 × 3)×(0.5×3) = 378 cubic ft

the dimensions of this space must be equal to the concrete dimensions space that is a right rectangular prism

Fibonacci posed the following problem: Suppose that rabbits live forever and that every month each pair produces a new pair whic
docker41 [41]

Answer:

Let f_n be the number of rabbit pairs at the beginning of each month. We start with one pair, that is f_1 = 1. After one month the rabbits still do not produce a new pair, which means f_2 = 1. After two months a new born pair appears, that is f_3 = 2, and so on. Let now n \geq 3 be any natural number. We have that f_n is equal to the previous amount of pairs f_n-1 plus the amount of new born pairs. The last amount is f_n-2, since any two month younger pair produced its first baby pair. Finally we have

f_1 = f_2 = 1,f_n = f_n-1 + f_n-2 for any natural n  \geq 3.
