The Federal Pell Grant Program gives grants to low-income undergraduate students. According to the National Postsecondary Studen

t Aid Study conducted by the U.S. Department of Education in 2008, the average Pell grant award for 2007-2008 was $2,600. We wonder if the mean amount is different this year for Pell grant recipients at San Jose State University. Suppose that we randomly select 50 Pell grant recipients from San Jose State University. For these 50 students, the mean Pell grant award is $2,450 with a standard deviation of $600. Let μ = the mean amount of Pell grant awards received by San Jose State University Pell grant recipients this year. We test the following hypotheses. LaTeX: H_0 H 0 : LaTeX: \mu=2600 μ = 2600 LaTeX: H_a H a : LaTeX: \mu\ne2600 μ ≠ 2600 The sample size is greater than 30, so a t-model is a good fit for the sampling distribution. Use this information to answer the next two questions.
What is the t-test statistic? If necessary, round to two decimal places.

What is the P-value? If necessary, round to three decimal places.

Answer:

Check the explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

According to question, sample mean xbar = 2450 with standard deviation s = 600 and sample size n = 50

population mean = 2600 (mu)

Kindly check the attached image

T- test statistic t = = 위이 1 2450 - 2600 = -150/84.85281 = -1.77

p-value = T.DIST.2T(test statistic,n-1)

where test statistic = -1.77 and n = 50

so, p-value = T.DIST.2T(-1.77,50-1) = 0.083

Tom was driving 20.3 meters per second in a 45 mile per hour zone. Was Tom speeding? Explain using a unit conversion as well as
My name is Ann [436]

Answer:

Tom was speeding.

Step-by-step explanation:

The driving speed of Tom = 20.3 meters per second.

Speed allowed in the zone = 45 miles per hour zone.

Since the unit of speed allowed is given in miles per hour but the speed of tom is given in meters per second. So, first, we have to convert the meter per second into mile per hour then we can compare and find that Tom is speeding or not.

1 mile = 1609.34 meters

1 hour = 3600 second

Now convert 20.3 into mile per hour.

20.3 meters per second. = (20.3 / 1609.34)*3600 = 45.40981 mile per hour.

Since Tom’s speed is more than the allowed speed so he is speeding.

A total of tickets 569 were sold for the school play. they were either adult tickets or student tickets. there were 69 more stud
makkiz [27]
------------------------------------------
Define adult and student tickets
------------------------------------------
Let the number of adult tickets be x
Adult tickets = x
Student tickets = x + 69

------------------------------------------
Form equation and solve for x
------------------------------------------
x + x + 69 = 569
2x + 69 = 569              ← Combine like terms
2x = 569 - 69               ← Subtract 69 from both sides
2x = 500
x = 250                         ← Divide by 2 to find x

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Find the number of adult tickets and student tickets
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Adult tickets = x = 250
Student tickets = x + 69 = 319

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Answer: Adult tickets = 250 ; Student tickets = 319

What is the quotient? StartFraction a minus 3 Over 7 EndFraction divided by StartFraction 3 minus a Over 21 EndFraction
Licemer1 [7]

Answer:

The quotient is -3

Step-by-step explanation:

we have

\frac{a-3}{7}:\frac{3-a}{21}

Multiply in cross

\frac{(a-3)21}{(3-a)7}

Simplify

Remember that

\frac{21}{7}=3

substitute

\frac{(a-3)3}{(3-a)}

we know that

(3-a)=-(a-3)

substitute

\frac{(a-3)3}{-(a-3)}=-3
