They rewarded 90 folks, if they had made it 98, that'd be 2/3 of their workforce, so hmmm  if say 98 is 2/3, how much is the 3/3, or the whole amount?

\bf \begin{array}{ccll}
workers&\stackrel{total}{workforce}\\
\text{\textemdash\textemdash\textemdash}&\text{\textemdash\textemdash\textemdash}\\
98&\frac{2}{3}\\\\
x&\frac{3}{3}
\end{array}\implies \cfrac{98}{x}=\cfrac{\frac{2}{3}}{\frac{3}{3}}\implies \cfrac{98}{x}=\cfrac{\frac{2}{3}}{1}
\\\\\\
\cfrac{98}{x}=\cfrac{2}{3}\implies \cfrac{98\cdot 3}{2}=x\impliedby \textit{total amount of workers}

Hey! Hope that I can help.

With the info you've given me, I know that 98 people is 2/3 of their workforce. Divide that by 2 to get 1/3, and then multiply that number by 3 to get your answer.

98 / 2 = 49 x 3 = 147
Answer: 147 people

write the equation in slope-intercept form of the line that has a slope of -3 and contains the point (4, -5).
Novosadov [1.4K]
You can answer this question by plugging the given values into point-slope form, which is y - y_{1} = m (x - x_{1}). M will represent slope and x_{1} and y_{1} will represent the x and y coordinates.

   y - y_{1} = m (x - x_{1})   Substitute in the values
y - (-5) = 4 (m - 4)   Cancel out the -(-5)
   y + 5 = 4 (m - 4)   Use the Distributive Property
   y + 5 = 4m - 16    Subtract 5 from both sides

         y = 4m - 21

Answer:

The statement makes conclusions about the proportion of citizens of the United States of America with respect to a particular opinion. These conclusions or inferences are obtained from the statistical analysis of a sample of said citizens, assuming a probabilistic distribution for the variable of interest (proportion). This type of analysis is part of the interval estimation theme that is part of the statistical inference or mathematical statistics.
