25y.......140x

36y..........x

Cross multiply

25x= 36*140

25x= 5040

x= 5040/25

x= 1008/5

x= 201.6

When y=36 the x will = 201.6

I hope that's help !

Write the absolute value equations in the form x−b=c (where b is a number and c can be either number or an expression) that have
umka21 [38]

Answer:

|x + 6| = 2

Step-by-step explanation:

|x - b| = c

b is the centre: (-4-8)/2 = -6

b = -6

c is the distance from the centre

-6 - (-8) = -6 + 8 = 2

Or,

-4 - (-6) = -4 + 6 = 2

| x - (-6)| = 2

|x + 6| = 2

Determine the equations of the vertical and horizontal asymptotes if any for h(x)=(x+1)^2/x^2-1
shepuryov [24]

ANSWER

Vertical asymptote:

x=1

Horizontal asymptote:

y=1

EXPLANATION

The given rational function is

h(x) =  \frac{ {(x + 1)}^{2} }{ {x}^{2} - 1 }

h(x) =  \frac{ {(x + 1)}^{2} }{ ({x}  - 1)(x + 1)}

h(x) =  \frac{ (x + 1)(x + 1) }{ ({x}  - 1)(x + 1)}

h(x) =  \frac{ x + 1}{ {x}  - 1}

The vertical asymptote occurs at

{x} - 1 = 0

x = 1

The vertical asymptotes is x=1

The degree of the numerator is the same as the degree of the denominator.

The horizontal asymptote of such rational function is found by expressing the coefficient of the leading term in the numerator over that of the denominator.

y =  \frac{1}{1}

y=1

Please help with this MATH question. I would appreciate it, it is the only one I need help with. SOLVING A SYSTEM INCLUDING LINE
makkiz [27]

Answer:

see below and attached

Step-by-step explanation:

To solve a system of quadratic equations:

  • Equal the equations then rearrange so that it is set to zero.
  • Use the quadratic formula to solve.

I have done this (see attached workings) but cannot get any of the solutions you've provided.  I have even graphed the two functions, and the points of intersection concur with my workings (see attached graph).
