There would be two people that would have a claim, for example, and sense they have two different claims, like at a court, they would have to argue.

A claim is a statement that must be arguable.

There must be at least two sides to a claim. For example, I can claim that I am the best person in the world (not that I am). Others can either:

1) support me, and be on my side

2) argue against my claim, and point out my faults.
