American Indians had their own culture and philosophy. This understanding of the world as widely misunderstood by European settlers, who always saw Native Americans as an obstacle, or even menace to their expansionary interests.

Indians quickly understood the European settlers interests and in many cases adopted a stiff opposition and conflictive attitude towards them. This would eventually lead to memorable incidents, such as the Wounded Knee Massacre, where the US army killed numerous Indians due to a misunderstanding that escalated into a fight.

There was a clear lack of understanding between both parts and both of them have a degree of responsibility for it.

Answer:

No, it was not possible to have done an effective counterattack or promote a better resistance than the one they made it. The Native Americans did what they could to fight against the European encroachment.

Explanation:

It's hard to consider historical points based on a hypothetical approach. However, in this case, it's relatively easy to consider the facts. You know, Europeans had more than just modern weapons. Beyond the shotguns, they brought with them, inside their bodies, a different and mortal weapon: germs and bacterias. Against this biological war, that it was involuntary by the European part (just happened), the Native Americans saw themselves vulnerable to diseases they didn't know how to heal.

What form of nationalism did Nazi Germany practice during World War II, resulting in the deaths of millions of innocent people?
Pie

It was racial/ethnic. The Nazis thought that they were the supreme race and believed that anyone who was below them deserved to be either imprisoned or exterminated. Jews, Gypsies, Eastern Europeans and all those they considered inferior were victimized and many suffered as a result.

The Spanish Missions in California were important because:
Nadya [2.5K]

Answer:

B, look at explanation for reasoning

Explanation:

C) is incorrect because they were created by the Spanish government

A) is incomplete, and B is the main importance. If this has a different completion than 'they allowed the Native', there could be multiple correct answers?

B)

They were not the first settlements of California--however, they were the first European settlements, so I assume that this is what the answer was implying

The Spanish California missions were important as an effort to convert the local peoples/the Native Americans living there to Catholicism. They were also an effort to grow European territory.

The missions were the main way Spanish influence grew in California (because they [the Spanish] had missions, and there were no prior European settlements to represent them).

What role do individuals play in defending the rights of the oppressed worldwide?
Scilla [17]

Answer:

This is usually done by creating awareness. We are in the era of a drastic increase in social media usage so putting the issue up and creating a voice for it will ensure the matter is looked into by the relevant authorities to curb it.

There can also be raising of money in order to ensure that the victims are in a better condition and not in situations which would enable them to get oppressed.
