We use x to stand for the total amount of cd, we know he loaned out 24 so we subtract 24 from x and that gives us 35
x-24=35
  +24 +24
x=59

To find the rate of change, you look at how much the y value increases with a change of 1 x. We see that as x increases from 1 to 2, y increases from 120 to 144. Then we subtract 144-120 to find the rate of change, which is just 24 (also note that x changes by 1 here).

Then for the initial value:
We see that y increases by 24 for 1 x, so subtracting the value at x=1 by 24 we get 120-24 = 96, which is the initial value.

Hope this helps

7. A boy on ice skates has a momentum of 200 kg m/s to the left at a velocity of 20
tankabanditka [31]

Answer: 10 m/s

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

Momentum of boy P=200\ kg.m/s

Mass of boy is m=20\ kg

Momentum is the product of mass and velocity

P=mv

Substitute value

\Rightarrow 200=20\times v\\\Rightarrow v=10\ m/s

Thus, the boy is moving with a velocity of 10 m/s
