Ese día no solo se aprobaron los acuerdos para crear el Frente Nacional, sino que por primera vez en la historia del país las mujeres acudieron a las urnas a ejercer su derecho al voto. El consenso sobre el papel del gobierno en el desarrollo agrícola ha cambiado a través del tiempo hacia un manejo menos directo de las actividades económicas y menos controles sobre los precios y las cantidades de factores y productos. Aunque el concepto de “fallas del mercado” en el sector privado ha sido reconocido desde hace mucho tiempo en economía, la aceptación de las “fallas del gobierno” es ahora mucho mayor que antes. Si bien buena parte de las fallas del gobierno puede atribuirse a incentivos institucionales y a políticas fiscales inadecuadas, esas fallas son una realidad. La gran rotación de los ministros y el personal principal de los ministerios de agricultura puede dificultar grandemente el proceso de formular y ejecutar políticas coherentes. Sin embargo, los gobiernos tienen un papel sobresaliente en la movilización de consensos hacia políticas apropiadas de desarrollo y su traducción en acciones concretas.

UN was created in wartime as a means to find and keep peace in the world. It also promotes international cooperation and friendly relationships. It does have a military, which is composed of voluntary men and women from different countries, but it's size changes according to each mission.

Although it might encourage international trade since it encourages peaceful relations, it's prime objective doesn't concern trade. The organization responsible for promoting international trade would be the World Trade Organization.
