The UTC or also known as the Coordinated Universal Time is the international standard time used by countries in regulating their time. It is similar to the GMT although the GMT is no longer defined today. UTC does not have daylight saving, so if the wave was recorded at 9:01, then the earthquake did really occur on 9:01 UTC.

Why is bacteria placed in the kingdom prokaryotes
sukhopar [10]
Prokaryotes are chiefly defined as cells without a nucleus to contain the genetic information. Bacteria do not have a nucleus but, like prokaryotes, a nucleoid region in the center where the DNA can be found. Bacteria also do not have membrane-bound organelles, but they do have ribosomes to synthesize proteins. Bacteria vary a lot in the different structures they can have, but these basic factors make bacteria prokaryotes.

Hope this helps! :)

Compressions

Rarefactions

Explanations;

 • A wave is a transmission of a disturbance from one point to another, and involve the transfer of energy from the source to another point.
 • Waves may be classified as longitudinal waves or transverse wave depending on the vibration of particles relative to the wave motion or mechanical and electromagnetic waves based on the material medium of transmission.
 • Sound waves are examples of longitudinal waves that are mechanical waves since they require material medium for transmission. Longitudinal waves involves transmission of waves such that the vibration of particles is parallel to the wave motion , creating compressions and rarefactions.
