Variance in human skin color is an example of polygenic inheritance.

Explanation:

Polygenic inheritance takes place when two or more gene controls a one characteristics. Sometimes the gene are more in amount but the genes have less effect. Certain examples of polygenic inheritance are skin color, eye color and weight, height, Polygenic inheritance can be found in other organisms as well.

Polygenic inheritance is important because alleles do not show dominance but each allele contribute which provides an additive effect and thus allele can interact in different way.

3/16 Kinked tail, obese growth

3/16 normal tail, normal growth

Explanation:

Kinked tail (K) is dominant over normal tail (k) and normal growth (N) is dominant over obese growth (n). Two mice that are heterozygous for both traits (KkNn) are crossed:

3/16 K_nn - Kinked tail, obese growth

3/16 kkN_ - normal tail, normal growth
