Human rights violations are when the rights universally guaranteed to all human beings in the "Universal Declaration of Human Rights" are impeded upon. An example of a human right violation is the Holocaust, the Jewish genocide in 20th century Nazi Europe. In response to this, the world banded together after WWII to make the Nuremberg Trials, where all major Nazi officers were held accountable for their part in the war and genocide.
