0.10d +0.25q = 7.00

 multiply everything by 100 to get rid of decimals

q = d+7 ( 7 more quarters than dimes)

10d +25(d+7) = 700

10d + 25d +175 = 700

35d +175 = 700

 subtract 175 from each side

35d =525

d = 525 / 35 = 15

15 dimes

 quarters = 15 +7 = 22

Answer:

Scale factor =  2, x = 3 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

The scale factor is 2 because you can see that in the second figure you multiply the sides from the first one by 2.

Using the scale factor 2, you can multiply 1.5 * 2 = 3 for x.

If the domain of a function that is reflected over the x-axis is (1, 5), (2, 1), (-1, -7), what is the range?
Tju [1.3M]

Answer:

A. (1, -5), (2, -1), (-1, 7)

Step-by-step explanation:

Reflecting a function over the x-axis:

When a function is reflected over the x-axis, the x-value stays the same, while y changes the signal, so the transformation rule is:

(x,y) \rightarrow (x,-y)

To find the range:

We apply the transformation to the points in the domain. Thus:

(1,5) \rightarrow (1,-5)

(2,1) \rightarrow (2,-1)

(-1,-7) \rightarrow (-1,-(-7)) = (-1, 7)

Thus the correct answer is given by option a.
