75 percent of 20 is 15. 15 students Enjoyed P.E and 4 students enjoyed social studies. P.E is the common favorite class.

you already know 4 student voted for social studies, so now you just have to figure out how many student voted for PE. now to figure that out you multiply the % which is .75 times 20 the total number of students. so the answer is 15. so that mean 15 students voted for PE. more people voted for PE than social studies.

The length of a rectangle is 2 Inches less than three times its width, and its perimeter is 36 Inches. Find the width of the
elixir [45]

Answer: Width = 5 inches

Concept:

Here, we need to know the idea of the perimeter.

A perimeter is a path that encompasses/surrounds/outlines a shape.

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 (w + l)

w = width

l = length

If you are still confused, please refer to the attachment below for a graphical explanation.

Solve:

w = w

l = 3w - 2

P = 36 inches

Given formula

P = 2 (w + l)

Substitute the value into the formula

36 = 2 (w + 3w - 2)

Simplify values in the parentheses

36 = 2 (4w -2)

Divide 2 on both sides

36 / 2 = 2 (4w - 2) / 2

18 = 4w - 2

Add 2 on both sides

18 + 2 = 4w - 2 + 2

20 = 4w

Divide 4 on both sides

20 / 4 = 4w / 4

w = 5

Hope this helps!! :)

the length of a rectangle is three times it’s width. if the area of the rectangle is 300 yd^2, find its perimeter.
Mashutka [201]

Answer:

80 yards

Step-by-step explanation:

Using the area formula, A = lw, set up an equation where w represents the width.

The length can be represented by 3w because it is 3 times the width:

A = lw

300 = (3w)(w)

300 = 3w²

Solve for w:

300 = 3w²

100 = w²

10 = w

So, the width is 10 yards.

The length will be 30 yards since the length is 3 times the width.

Then, add the lengths and widths together to find the perimeter:

10 + 10 + 30 + 30

= 80

So, the perimeter is 80 yards

5x-6=3x-9 .......................................................................................
Vladimir79 [104]

Answer:

-3 / 2

Step-by-step explanation:

 1. 5x - 6 = 3x - 9
 2. 5x - 6 + 6 = 3 x - 9 + 6
 3. 5x = 3x - 3
 4. 5x - 3x = 3x - 3 - 3x
 5. 2x = - 3
 6. 2x / 2 = -3 / 2
 7. The X = -3 / 2

Lee has $1.75 in dimes and nickels. The number of nickels is 11 more than the number of dimes. How many of each coin does he hav
Schach [20]

Answer:

Lee has 19 nickels and 8 dimes

Step-by-step explanation:

hello, I think I can help you with this

Step 1

Let

value of a nickel=$0.05

value of a dime=$0.10

number of nickels=N

number of nickels=D

According to the question data Lee has $1.75 in dimes and nickels.

0.05N+0.1D=1.75,equation(1)

also, the number of nickels is 11 more than the number of dimes.mathematical speaking

N=11+D,equation(2)

Step 2

replace N from equation (2) into equation (1)

0.05N+0.1D=1.75

0.05(11+D)+0.1D=1.75

Now, solve for D

0.55+0.05D+0.1D=1.75

0.15D=1.75-0.55

D=1.2/0.15

D=8

Step 3

replace the value of D into equation(2) to obtain N

N=11+8

N=11+8

N=19

Hence, Lee has 19 nickels and 8 dimes

Have a great day.
