Macbeth was excited and enthusiastic about them because he sees what he wants to see.  The witches promised Macbeth that Dunsinane Castle would never fall he shows no doubt towards them.
 He was easily tricked by the Weird Sisters into believing that he is invincible. This "false sense of security" was his downfall.
