1. Climax: Point of highest stress/tension in a story. Often the smallest portion of said story
2. Conflict: The difficulty that results in a lesson through the resolution. A problem related to the rising action
3. Resolution: how the characters changed, and concludes the story, related to the falling action
awaited, and it's not a linking verb
“he snores louder than a cargo train” - exaggeration
“what must you do before you get off the bus? get on it.” - humor
“the sign says keep of the grass, but there is only dirt in the lot” - irony
