Given that a bakery sells boxes of muffins where ratio of apple to blueberry muffins in each box is the same.

So that means ratio of numbers given in column 2 and column 3 of the table will always be same.

Let's use 2nd and 5th row and use x for the missing value to make an equation, we get:

x/15=40/50

multiply both side by 15

x=(40/50)*15

x=12

Similarly we can make ratio of other rows with 5th row to find missing values.

You will get values as shown in attached picture of the table.

guajiro [1.7K]
Add up all the values shown:
64+28+52+56 = 200

This result indicates that there are 200 students total.

Of these 200 total people, there are 28 who are attending both colleges. This is the value shown in the overlapping region of the two circles.

Divide the two values (28 and 200) to get...
28/200 = 0.14 = 14%

The probability as a decimal value is 0.14 which is saying there's a 14% chance of picking someone who goes to both colleges.

Write 2350 million in standard form
AleksAgata [21]

we know that

Standard Form is also known as Scientific Notation, is a method of writing numbers that accommodates value excessively large or small to be suitably written in Standard Decimal Notation

in this problem we have

2,350\ million

Remember that

1\ million=1,000,000

so

2,350\ million=2,350*1,000,000=2,350,000,000

convert to standard form

2,350,000,000=2.35*10^{9}

therefore

the answer is

2.35*10^{9}

If BCD ~ GEF, find BD
Masja [62]

Answer:

19

Step-by-step explanation:

if the triangles are similar then EG/BC = FG/BD

51/(x+4) = 57/(2x-7) cross multiply expressions

102x - 357 = 57x + 228

102x - 57x = 228 + 357

45x = 585 divide both sides by 45

x = 13

BD = 2x -7 and 13×2 - 7 = 19
