The correct answer is B. He points up to heaven, signifying that everything is a reflection of Forms that reside in heaven.

In the center of the picture The School Of Athens by Raffaello Sanzio, Plato is pointing with his index finger to the sky. This is a symbol that represents the importance given by Plato to heaven and transcendent reality in his philosophy. Plato is known for his theory of ideas, in which he states that the entire physical world, the sensitive world perceptible by the senses, is a projection of an intelligible world not perceptible by the senses, the world of ideas. For that reason, in the picture, Plato is reminding us of the importance of a transcendent reality.

Plato’s gesture in the School Of Athens, and what is meant by it that He points up to heaven, signifying that everything is a reflection of Forms that reside in heaven.

Further Explanation:

In the prominent fresco "The School of Athens" composed by the Italian painter Raphael, two learners who influenced Western viewpoint: Plato and Aristotle. Plato is portrayed facing up, which is a statement of his reasoning. He affirmed that the things we find in the material world are only descriptions of genuine articles such as distinction, morality.

The School of Athens is a fresco by the Italian Renaissance artisan Raphael. It was composed somewhere in the series of 1509 and 1511 as a section of Raphael's to embellish the chambers, known as the Stanze di Raffaello, in the Apostolic Palace in the Vatican. The Stanza dellaSegnatura was the original of the chambers to be beautified, and The School of Athens, discoursing to Philosophy, was probably the third composition to be done there, after La Disputa on the contrary, and the Parnassus known as the Literature. The painting has for significantly been inspected as "Raphael's artful culmination and the exemplary epitome of the legendary soul of the Renaissance".

Please help this is due in 15 minutes. Does the line of presidential succession
Mekhanik [1.2K]

The presidential line of succession is a lengthy list. The start of the list reads:

  1. Vice President
  2. Speaker of the House of Representatives
  3. President pro tempore of the Senate
  4. Secretary of State

and that's the order in which the succession happens. There are many others waiting in line behind the Secretary of State. I chose not to list them because it would make this post way too lengthy.

This list makes sense because it's listing senior members in politics, and those members are part of the political process. On the other hand, members like the Speaker of the House, or president pro tempore of the senate don't really make much sense here. These members may be of a different political party of the president and could contradict the president's goals.

In my opinion, it's best to list out the cabinet members after the vice president. The secretary of state seems like a good cabinet member to start with, then secretary of defense is the next best in line. These two positions deal with foreign affairs which is a handy thing to have in time of crisis. The secretary of treasury is also a good consideration as well since many crises involve money in some way.
