An ethnic group is a social group based on the sense of cultural tradition, shared ancestry, and common history, highlighting that group from others culturally.

When ethnic groups establish traits that set them apart from others, in Anthropology this is known as "<em>Ethnic Boundaries</em>".

<em>Ethnic Boundaries</em> are ways to create order; and Ethnic Boundary Markers are features used to state membership in an ethnic group (<em>traits like clothing, food, language, etc.</em>)

The concept that the text serves to illustrate is <em><u>ETHNIC BOUNDARY MAKERS</u></em> which are the particular characteristics that an ethnic group has and are used to distinguish it from another ethnic group.

We can say that this is the right concept for the text because it is evident how it is describing the specific characteristics for a person to be Jewish, such as have a Jewish mother, and follow the Jewish religions among others. That being said, ethnic boundary makers can be applied to the text.

What are Psychologists' involvement in assessments related to death penalty cases
dlinn [17]

Answer:

Forensic psychologists, that is psychologists that specialize in psychological evaluation and treatment, especially in legal cases have become commonplace in death penalty cases ever since the Supreme Court ruled that capital sentencing must be based on the individual offense and the perpetrator of the crime. What this means, in essence, is that psychological factors among others must be considered as it could possibly influence jury decision.

The importance of forensic psychologists in the death penalty was greatly highlighted after the Supreme Court decided in 2002 that the use of the death penalty for mentally unstable people was unconstitutional. If an accused is deemed mentally unfit by a psychologist, such a person cannot face the death sentence. This goes on to underline the importance of the psychologists' assessments in death penalty cases.
