Those operations have their rules which are that numbers that have the same signs, negative or positive, are always giving a positive product, while quotient with opposite signs, positive and negative, are giving a negative product.

  • Same signs = positive quotient and opposite signs = negative quotient

Example for part A: -2 * (-4) = 8

Example for part B: 2 * (-4) = -8
