I'll take a stab at this:

The Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service launched a surprise attack on the United States, Pearl Harbor, on December 7th, 1941. As of up until that moment, the United States had refused to get involved in the affairs that were already going on with Japan and China any further, but the Japanese launched an attack on pearl harbor in hopes of keeping the U.S. Pacific Fleet from interfering with their military plans and actions against the United Kingdoms, the Netherlands, and the U.S.A.

The attack was a success, as all eight of the US Navy ships were damaged, and four even sunk. The attack came as a complete shock to the U.S.A., though once that ended, the president quickly decided it was time to go to war.  "<span>The Japanese also sank or damaged three </span>cruisers<span>, three </span>destroyers, an anti-aircraft training ship,[nb 5]<span> and one </span>minelayer<span>. One hundred eighty-eight U.S. aircraft were destroyed; 2,403 Americans were killed and 1,178 others were wounded."</span>

Which symbol from roll of thunder hear my cry best represents freedom and equality
STALIN [3.7K]

Answer:

Land

Explanation:

Symbols are primarily described as a physical object or process through which the author connotes a deeper and abstract meaning.

In the text 'Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry,' the author employs 'land' as the symbol to represent the idea of 'freedom and equality.' It symbolizes the independence of Logan's family from the anatomy of power surrounding them. While working at the plot, they feel free without having anyone who could order or instruct them. The statement 'Once our land had been Granger land too' reflects the idea of equality.

Verizon [17]

Answer:

Conjunction.

Explanation:

Conjunctions are those words that are used as joining words. They can be used to act as the mediator or adhesive to put two or more sentences together.

Words such as "yet" are used as conjunctions when they join words. The use of "yet" in a sentence provides a contrasting opinion/side of what had just been stated. But it can also be use as an adverb in a sentence. As adverbs, they give a negative connotation and talks of what is yet to happen or if it's true but that will turn or happen for sure in the future. But 'yet' is used  at the end of the sentence if they are to be used as an adverb.

In the sentence "Alberto hates tomatoes <em><u>yet </u></em>adores spaghetti", the 'yet' here is used as a joining word. It joins the two sets of phrases or independent clause 'Alberto hates tomatoes' and his other quality that he 'adores spaghetti'.
